As hard as it might be to believe, it’s already September, and for most people around the world a sign that fall is on its way. As we roll through the ninth month of the year it’s time to take one last look back at August with our monthly feature car showdown. August saw a number of impressive machines pop up on the pages of Speedhunters ranging from wide-bodied BMWs to traditional customs, time attackers and rare competition cars.
Now we need you guys to check out the list below, and then choose your favorite.
Here they are:
The Zakspeed Calibra is a special thing , imagine that in a proper race track , like Hockenheimring or Laguna Seca, just imagine...
Calibra. Surely no contest?
I'm guessing the Liberty walk voters are the same bunch that think FF is the best car movie of all time haha!
I don't like the carbon stickers and biased fanboys (that japanese cars have a lot, especialy on the internet), but those old gt r- s look s good on pictures, I had to vote for it.
The essentially stock M3 with wheel spacer's and riveted fender flares over the Opel?? REALLY PEOPLE?!? I have a feeling this is one of those trend's we'll all be regretting before 2020. Like bigass wings on Hondas. Least I'll be able to tell which Porsche's BMW's and other street cars will have the weakest investment/resale value. Makes me very proud to have had a 575hp, carbon fiber'd ESS Supercharged M3 tuned at our place of business. Christ, you kids...
For me it has to be the Aston CC100, easily the best looking car, more unique than any of the cars featured, brute power, awesome concept, by far the classiest car of the lot and on top of that it's celebrating one of the biggest car companies 100th anniversary. Nothing against any of the other builds, but they are all very common in terms of whats been done before. Haven't seen anything like the CC with the exception of the Aventador J .
For its rarity and uniqueness I vote for the Aston CC100.
Definitely a hard pick !!! I'm a big fan of kato's builds from liberty walk but hands down this month went to that zakspeed calibra !!
Its between the cheetah and the calibra for me, a race car that never made it is such a damn shame! And the craftmanship thats gone into the cheetah, my word! It was a hard decision to make! I think its a shame that a advertising tool bmw is ranking quite as high as it is... theres nowere near as much work in that than the other cars here.
People need to read the Mercury article - the dude did it all by himself! Just for that he deserves it.... Not even to mention that he created an amazing custom.
That BMW, check that out, all that time spent and the rivets / bolts holding the fake flares on are still showing. What a bummer.
@dubbs sorry dude, that thing looks too much like a penis substitute.
@Paizuri_4g63 i also was shocked when i saw the results my man. enjoy life
@Lastspark That's not a problem at all.
@Lastspark What's fake about the flares? All the liberty works BMW are running wider tires that would not fit a stock m3
@Lastspark YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO APPRECIATION FOR FINE ART AND CRAFTSMANSHIP. I ADORE EVERYTHING THAT LIBERTY WALK DOES THEY ARE TRUE GENIUSES. THEY INVENTED RIVETED-ON FENDER FLARES YOU KNOW. LIBERTY WALK MAKES CARROLL SHELBY LOOK LIKE A RAPIST.
@Lastspark I'm curious as to why you would call the fender flares "fake". It seems to me, the purpose of the flares, in this case, was to accommodate wider wheels to ultimately widen the track width and reduce unwanted weight transfer. Why you so mad all the time breh?
@Lastspark I THINK ITS TOTALLY AWESOME TO COMMENT IN ALL CAPS. PEOPLE WILL DEFINITELY GET MY SARCASM NOW. I'M LIKE SAMUEL L. JACKSON. I LOVE LIBERTY WALK, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THEM. I'M NOT YELLING, THIS IS JUST HOW I TALK.
