This weekend the NASCAR Sprint Cup series is in Watkins Glen, New York for the second of its two annual road course stops. As an example of just how exciting it can be when NASCAR takes to a non-oval track, check out this footage from the end of last year’s NYC race. During the final lap you’ll see Kyle Busch spin-out from the lead and an old fashioned dogfight between 2012 champ Brad Keselowski and ex-Aussie V8 Supercar driver Marcos Ambrose break out. It turns out the track had a thin coating of oil from a previous blown motor, resulting in plenty of sideways driving and making the run to the checkered flag that much more hairy.

I know I’ll be tuning in on Sunday to see what goes down this year.
