As Lamborghini kicks off its 50th anniversary celebration, it seems the ultra-exclusive Veneno is not the only new machine being built to commemorate the occasion. The company also decided to roll out a tweaked version of the Aventador, known as the LP 720-4 50 Anniversario. For those whose Italian isn’t quite as good as my own, I can tell you that anniversario means anniversary.

Besides its extremely long name, the LP 720-4 50 Anniversario gets a number of changes from the normal Aventador. Each example will come in a special yellow body color (other colors available via special order) and features more aggressive aero treatments up front and in the rear.

The car’s V12 has also been tuned to make an additional 20 ponies, for a total output of 720 horsepower. Lamborghini is claiming 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds.

The interior has of course been upgraded to match with unique leather material and a matching yellow color pattern.

While the LP 720-4 50 Anniversario won’t be quite as limited as the Veneno, Lamborghini plans to build just 100 examples for the world, each certified with a special forged badge and serial number.
