It’s often hard to comprehend just how vast and deep automotive culture and passion spans in Japan. Last year I had the chance to help put together a program that attempted to show just this, looking at some of the biggest names out there. It was a pity it was only shown in Japan, but we all knew it wouldn’t be long before it was released online. It’s over forty minutes long so sit back and enjoy the show.

fantastic video...maybe have a poll on speedhunters extreme classics vs keeping original?
Cool video. I like the fact that everyone expressed their opinion on what a perfect car is without disrespecting each other.
It looks like the video was deleted on Vimeo. I found this on Youtube, which looks to be the same http://youtu.be/ouhdGnH1QmA
Very, Very cool. This is a good starting point for trying to explain my sickness to my non-car friends. I showed it to a few and the whole "car is a canvass, builder is an artist" thing finally clicked with them. One of them even expressed how she better understood the painstaking process I take with planning every single little detail of a build that I may not start for 5 years. Glad someone put it where we could all see it. Thanks!
Very good watch, even with the droning, broken-record voiceover.
Dino, is that a euro-accent you have? I've always thought of you having a very American accent.. that shatters my entire universe
Speaking of engine swaps I think what's missing today is owners appreciation for the factory engine (especially in the US), and even when the owner "outgrows" the factory engine you gotta remember that balance is still key when swapping a newer engine into an older chassis.
More videos like these, please.
Great video, it puts into perspective why they do what they do, and how they do it. You can feel their passion for the automobile
@downwiththedan Not sure.. just checked and it seems to work. Could be a territory thing maybe? Where are you?
@JoshuaWhitcombe check out the post above
@jzx81 No probs!
@KevinGoody Yes and that's why they chose the shop!
@Westm1121 Just the one for now, but hey, you never know ;)
@AaronVenable Grew up in the UK, was Americanized in Japan so I'd probably define it as a hybrid accent lol
@reno808 For now yes
@Andy D Cool!
@koko san No problem!
@SPEEDHUNTERS Working fine since yesterday. Looked everywhere for a day, and "The page was unavailable" I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada
@speedhunters_dino Well if another one is made then my prayer's will be answered. If not I can always rewatch this one : )
