AUTO ARTISANS: THE RETRO CAR KINGS
It’s often hard to comprehend just how vast and deep automotive culture and passion spans in Japan. Last year I had the chance to help put together a program that attempted to show just this, looking at some of the biggest names out there. It was a pity it was only shown in Japan, but we all knew it wouldn’t be long before it was released online. It’s over forty minutes long so sit back and enjoy the show.

AWESOME!
Cool video. I like the fact that everyone expressed their opinion on what a perfect car is without disrespecting each other.
It looks like the video was deleted on Vimeo. I found this on Youtube, which looks to be the same http://youtu.be/ouhdGnH1QmA
what happened to the video??
JoshuaWhitcombe check out the post above
Really, really nice film. Watched from beginning to end with fascination. Thanks for showing this!
really worth watching!
Very, Very cool. This is a good starting point for trying to explain my sickness to my non-car friends. I showed it to a few and the whole "car is a canvass, builder is an artist" thing finally clicked with them. One of them even expressed how she better understood the painstaking process I take with planning every single little detail of a build that I may not start for 5 years. Glad someone put it where we could all see it. Thanks!
@majik16106 Same here.
Really, really enjoyed watching this.

speedhunters_dino Well if another one is made then my prayer's will be answered. If not I can always rewatch this one : )
That is just something that im aiming for... my dream job..
This is simply awesome...More please !!!
Very good watch, even with the droning, broken-record voiceover.
Dino, is that a euro-accent you have? I've always thought of you having a very American accent.. that shatters my entire universe
AaronVenable Grew up in the UK, was Americanized in Japan so I'd probably define it as a hybrid accent lol
Thanks for posting. Is this the only episode?
reno808 For now yes
Saw it when it aired over there mate, great to watch again !!!!!
Andy D Cool!
No idea yet...
Speaking of engine swaps I think what's missing today is owners appreciation for the factory engine (especially in the US), and even when the owner "outgrows" the factory engine you gotta remember that balance is still key when swapping a newer engine into an older chassis.
More videos like these, please.
Great video and thanks so much for posting it.
Yeah! Awesome, thanks for sharing it! =D
great video, thanks for posting dino.
koko san No problem!

Great video, it puts into perspective why they do what they do, and how they do it. You can feel their passion for the automobile
