Here is the video all you time attack fans have been waiting for, Under Suzuki’s record braking attempt seen through the eyes of Luke Huxham. There is very little point for me to elaborate on this further, just hit play, select full screen, turn the volume right up and let Suzuki-san show you how it’s done!

It almost seems easy, got dammit...

Amazing video.. Oh what a car.! Too good to be true for a RWD car to get into 52'' in Tsukuba..!

3

Yes on his 4th lap he laid down a lazy 53 second, Under Suzuki truly is an animal and hopefully we can continue to cover his progress and he breaks into the 51's and beyond!

4

I remember reading some kind of racing/F1 quote that goes along the lines, "Slow is smooth and smooth is fast"

5

Freaking Insane!! Looks like he slowed down a bit at the last turn..maybe he could've hit the 50 second mark..

6

What a feat!
Going up against a Company (HKS) which invested over a million dollar for the 2 EVO it built specifically for Tsukuba. Very impressive!

7

@Freddie0288 EVERYONE slows down at the last corner as EVERYONE struggles with grip.

8

Anyone else have the sudden urge to whip out their copy of Gran Turismo and have a go at Tsukuba? Hah!

9

@JDMized  @Freddie0288 i feel nemo could be flat through there

10

damn it really handles dunlop very easily, must have some pretty decent front bite, then that launch out of it is insane

@JDMized  @Freddie0288 One of Suzuki-sans largest problems right now is getting all that power to the ground. He's already running awesome Advans but with 800hp getting sent to the rear wheels you will always have problems. After he finishes his aero and gets a new ECU that will add some traction control we can only wonder what the next title of my film will be. Now I titled it 52, maybe next time it will be 50......

12

@777  @Freddie0288 It's certainly something I want to witness!

13

@LukeHuxham  You talk "seconds" like they were peanuts! It took more than 3 years for someone to break HKS's record, and now you talk about 50's?
I'm sure someone will break into the 50's, but before that day happens, lots of time will go by. It's not as simple as you make it sound.

Thank you for such an awesome edit... glad theres no music throughout the lap... thank you!.. best video I have seen this year,,, almost looks too easy :)

@JDMized @LukeHuxham while i was filming this i had a hood chance to talk to Suzuki-san and I really think he's going to cut seconds once his car gets the new aero and ECU. This car has do much room for growth.

@Chris Nuggets Once you have mastered slow and smooth then its time to apply attack!

20

@SMRacing #maximumattack !!!!!!!!

21

@V35 Yes. Then again, Tsukuba is pretty much the only track I race on in GT5. Maybe I'll make a new RM S15 though, I tend to favour my RM DC5. I doubt I'll come anywhere near this time, even with racing softs.

22

Great driving, interesting to see the lines he took. Amazing car.

@LukeHuxham  @JDMized We'll see......"seconds" in racing is an eternity.

25

@JDMized Its an eternity when you start from scratch and have already extracted all you can from a car. Suzuki's car already has plans for more aero and an ECU, it still has MUCH more room for improvement. Most time attack cars get pushed to their limits very quickly and once they lay down one lap time they're retired. This car has and still is a work in progress. It's not even finished and even with it's lose tail around corners it broke one record and set another. Seriously this is just the beginning.

The gearing is so well setup through the whole run. Superb setup and Congratulations to Scorch racing and all other parties involved.I can run a 53.2 on Gran Turismo 5 on my PS3 console with full slicks. Seeing this pulled off on semi-slicks is mind boggling. Awesome edit LUKE!!
