The story of drag racers Don “The Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen is a great one, and next year that story will be coming to the big screen in the form “The Snake and the Mongoose”. The independent film is currently in postproduction and as this trailer shows, it looks like they’ve nailed the period set pieces and vehicles, thanks in large part to Don Prudhomme’s fantastic car collection.
It looks promising, and I’m certainly anxious to see it once it’s released in 2013.
cant wait, sim so excited, pumped and anxious to see this, screw skyfall, this is were it at :D
Looks great! I'm not usually into drag racing but there's something different about the vintage stuff. Sorta like when NASCAR used to use production-based full frame cars rather than tube frame. It was watch-able back then.
Oh man, I cant wait to show this to my Dad, he used to go watch these guys back in the day.
Indeed! This, plus Ron Howard's new F1 film should make 2013 a fine year for automotive cinema!
Mike Garrett With Senna, TT:3D, and Eric Banas Love the beast movie/ docs that have come out in the last few years. Can't wait for more racing one to be released. I'm dying for a rallying based 3D movie, after seeing Nitro Circus last week, flying 3D dirt looks awesome.
