Trueno three-door hatchback got overly popular because of Initial D. Still one hell of a machine! Hard to choose between it and the Levin two-door coupe. But i guess I'd go with the Levin two-door coupe.Just love the mean presence it has with a proper body kit.
Levin 3-door. Fixed headlights for me any day of the week, along with the other little Levin touches.
This poll was hard to answer. I like them all for different reasons.
- The Trueno Coupe earns points for structural rigidity. I am from the US, and all the 86es we got here had the Trueno front end, but it seems like more than half are coupes, so the association with the US scene definitely helped. However, this body style looks kind of awkward, as the trunk and front end don't really work together.
- The Levin Coupe has a certain delightfully 1980s boxy charm and great visual continuity from the hood to the trunk. The aforementioned structural rigidity of the coupe body style also helps, on a more functional note.
- The Levin Hatch has "looks (more) like a regular car" sleeper abilities on its side, and looks good with the similarity of the headlights to the tail lights and other matched styling cues. To be honest, this was a close second for me.
In the end, my choice is the Trueno Hatch, even ignoring the Initial D association, because it's overall the best-looking body style - every part of the shape works very well, and every styling element is well-chosen.
I wonder if there will be a S13 body style poll next? As in, SX hatch vs Silvia coupe vs SX coupe ("Onevia") vs Sileighty.

They're all great but I like the photo of the Levin coupe.
I had to go with the levin coupe the way the fixed headlights & 80ish style lines looks its just intoxicating. It also looks even better with the rite bodykit and wheel set up
Hard decision between Tureno Hatch and Levin Coupe! I vote for Tureno Hatsh!

I went for levin coupe, but its so hard to choose
normally i am a fan of all things hatchback, but when it comes down to these, coupes all day. i may prefer the levin, but that is most likely because they weren't available in the states.

Trueno three-door hatchback. Because who doesn't want to be a touge monster trained by a tofu selling father with a cup of water to balance.
That's easy - my 91 hatchback DOHC - Everytime i walk out the door and see it, it just looks better and better
i have a pop up hatch but if i could i would have a levin coupe.
