Car Spotlight>><br/>mustang Coupe Track Special

I’m going to be honest here, for a long time I wasn’t a big fan of the coupe body style of the Ford Mustang. Many people must agree, because when all else is equal a fastback Mustang seems to have a value two or three times greater than that of its coupe counterpart.

Recently though I’ve taken quite a liking to Mustang coupes, particularity the ’67 and ’68 models.

That brings me to this ’67 Mustang that was taking part in the Shelby Reunion festivities. Prior to the introduction of the Boss 302 in 1969, the Mustang Coupe was the weapon of choice in SCCA Trans Am Racing and this car very much channels that spirit.

From the two-tone paintwork to the sidepipes and American Racing mags, this car has everything that makes the old Mustang race cars so cool.

But as you can see in this interior view, this Mustang isn’t just built to look like one of the old competition machines, it’s built to run like them as well. The cockpit is stripped out and equipped with a full cage and Corbeau buckets, plus you might have noticed that the rear window was replaced with plexiglass.

The fastback may still be the people’s choice when it comes to vintage Mustangs, but I’d personally take a coupe built like this over a run of the mill fastback any time.

@marvin_67  @milkplus I love the car, it's raw in a way you seldom see vintage mustangs but I wish they would have had the courtesy to track you down to do a proper feature. Your car definitely deserves it.

Exactly how a car should be, no extras, just essentials for driving hard. my 93 coupe will be treated the same way.
