While I was at Tsukuba Circuit for the GTCC race, I came across these two little white sports cars parked in the paddock. On the left is a first generation Eunos Roadster of course, while the car on the right is a classic Lotus Elan. It was quite interesting to see these two cars parked together, as the Elan is one of the cars Mazda used as inspiration while developing the Roadster in the late '80s.
Can you spot the resemblance?

I like the little vent on the passenger side headlight cover on the Eunos. Looks pretty cool.
Folks that bash the miata is usually those that have never driven or owned one with susp and engine work done to it...
Miata is like the best car ever.. Ok maybe not. How available and cheap they are now days makes it one of the best bang for the bucks out there. I have converted over 5 friends to buy one so far. They all still own them.
PLEASE BRING BACK THE COOL SMALL CARS WITH CHARACTER, MANUFACTURERS!!!!
RWD 2 or 4 seat, small, lightweight, stylish,character, with any motor combo that gives it better then 10:1 hp/wt ratio and it will sell.. 8:1 ratio and you might have something that will turn legend
Looking at this makes me want my miata stock all over again!
I love the picture of the Elan parked next to a Ferrari 599GTB, you can really see how big cars have gotten in the past few decades
And to think that the Mazda Mx-5 has just faded away into the pages of the past while the Lotus Elan name stands strong to this day! Oh wait... .
