There is always so much going on in Japan that it’s really hard to keep up at times. If you’re into cars there aren’t many places where the certified otaku can indulge himself as much as in the land of the rising sun. The Ferrari Racing Days in Suzuka circuit is the perfect example and I’m still kicking myself for not having been able to make it once again this year. Luckily, our friend Len Clarke was down there during the unfortunately wet weekend, and just to tease me he sent along this picture. Seriously, how much Ferrari goodness can there be in one single picture!!

too much hatorade beauuuttifulll photograph! Thank you for this! Sick F50 & Enzo hiding out in the back :)
Anyone living in NEW ENGLAND should check out the Ferrari Challenge at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT the weekend of July 21st! Hundreds of Ferrari road and race cars. Last year we saw the illustrious F40 Competizione!
A true car enthusiast must wrench on his own car? Who told you that? Some people enjoy driving and are great at it, but wouldn't have the first clue how to assemble a motor. All people car enthusiast or not should know how to do some small mechanical things like oil, brake pads, etc. But to say you aren't a car enthusiast if you don't "wrench on ur stuff" is completely one sided. There are tinkerers, there are racers, there are mechanics, there are project car guys. Just because you wrench, doesn't mean you can drive fast. Just because you drive fast, doesn't mean you can wrench. The two don't really equate to the same thing. Driving a car fast is a whole different topic than changing oil or diagnosing and electronic fault etc.
lol@ JDMized wow you really failed this time hahahahahahhaahahahha @ Dino....make sure Len follows through with more pix. I'm nursing a semi until then.
We have right to our opinions even if they don't agree with the others. Now though, I have to say that judging people by their involvement whether they are car enthusiasts or not is nobody's right. I've been part of different projects varying from simple car services to full ground-up designs and builds of race cars, and I'm more than okay if some car photographer wants to title themselves as a "car enthusiast". Why? Well, if one likes cars very very much he then must be a car enthusiast - right? Liking cars and liking to work with cars are two separate things although people that are interested in either often are gathered together in different associations. Even the word "enthusiast" means that someone is overly excited about a certain object or subject. This does not require any immediate contact with the thing one is overly excited about. If it would be so, I think we couldn't call "fans" like we are doing now because then they should first know how to play an instrument before they could digg a band. So if this photographer keeps on talking about cars day after day, keeps on shooting things on wheels and keeps being generally excited about them, then he indeed is car enthusiast even though he wouldn't own a car. And we should let him be because it's taking nothing away from us, or is it?
Jdmised: what the... Dino has the r34, mike has the z and hachi, Charles the z33 and s15 and Larry a z! Im sure the others do 2! You have a Tacoma yeah? Lol. Stop trolling!
@JDMized, you always complain about Speedhunters, why keep coming back? Please go away, nobody cares for your comments!
Hey JDMized...why all the hate? You should really find an outlet for it you know, it's not healthy keeping it bottled up inside ;)

JDMized said: Dino, don't hype things up! You ain't a "otaku". A true car enthusiast, (or geek, whichever you wanna call it), works on his/her car, and has actually a project car. You, like the rest of the SH staff, do not possess a project car, nor wrench on your car. Who gives a toss mate? I just want him to travel around a shoot cool car pictures and write about them. Do you write a better Blog?
@JDMized: you're obviouslly a hater if you check out speedhunters they acutally post photos of their rides. for example Dino has a r34 i bet you dont even have a car on that level.
jdmized: Have you ever met Dino? Have you ever been to Japan? I just love, I mean. ABSOLUTELY LOVE people like you who knows what they are talking about! Thank you...........
@ jdmized maybe you haven't seen his bayside blue gt r34?? maybe dino is too busy flying around the world writing for other magazines??? maybe you haven't been following speedhunters for that long? maybe you dont know of all the tomei goodies under the hood?
i can appreciate the nice wide parking spaces.. i'd love to hear them when they all leave at the same time.. - Thanks
@Dflax: I guarantee you that professional racers used to work on their car (project cars), and many of them still do.
