The Caterham F1 team (formerly known as Team Lotus) have released this pre-season film. It was shot at the Jerez circuit in Spain, with driver Heikki Kovalainen behind the wheel of the new CT01. The F1 teams have just seven more days of testing before the season opener at Albert Park on March 16-18.

F1 cars are only cooled by air flow if they are not moving they over heat very fast. They have over heated on the start finish line before
@richw90 its to force air into the engine as it idles, keeping the engine as cool as possible. it serves as a by-product that brake debris and tyre reminants are blown out the scoop as well sometimes, but its primary purpose is to keep those dammed over-engineered engines cool.
