Tokyo Auto Salon doesn’t officially kick off until tomorrow, but already the news is pouring out of Chiba. Among the cars debuting at TAS is this Toyota 86 D1GP car, wearing Falken/Up Garage colors and driven by AE86 legend Tetsuya Hibino.

Here’s a video clip that Option Video released of Hibino shaking the car down outside Makuhari Messe.

Sweet! It looks and sounds good.

I would really like to see what this car can do in D1 with some more tuning.

I'm sorry but who on the earth created that livery?

i mean look at it!it's ugly!get it out of my sight!

Comparing the ScionRacing livery and this is like comparing HRT and Red Bull Racing

Who on earth created that livery?

it's UGLY!!!

C'mon who ever did this can do a better job than this..

Scion Racing did a superb job with their livery and UpGarage/Falken...

I think the only word to describe this livery is 'HOPELESS'

Hibino said that, "hashimawari" (suspension setup) are not dialed-in yet, so the car doesn't feel right yet.

However, with some practice, he believes the 86 will be a good platform (a good car to drift with).

Hibino looks so funny at the end of the video.
