With just two stages left in the 2012 Dakar Rally, Stephane Peterhansel increased his lead in the overall standings after winning stage 11. Robby Gordon again suffered some setbacks, which pushed him even farther back in the standings.

Peterhansel should have been DQ'd for hitting that rider in the river.
Also, this race is tainted by unfair french officials and botched inspections.
