It`s hard to compare a race like Le Mans with something like MIVW wich is more like a meet , even though they are both events. Separete categories for next yer could be a good idea

The indian grand prix shouldnt be there but the canadian grand prix should be just for Buttons drive at the end. But I am goin with 24h Le Mans.
The underrated but brilliant Dubai 24 Hours... something hardcore about racing in the desert for a whole day.

Bathurst 1000 baby.
V8 supercars is some of the closest production car based racing series in the world. 600 real rear-wheel horsepower, no abs, traction control, stability control or anything. Just the driver, 3 pedals, a steering wheel and a whole lot of skill.
Tough one, with Pike Peak, N24, LM24, Both Goodwoods & Bathurst. Wish i could vote for all of them.
Might vote for the crown jewel. LM24.
Went with Bonneville. The mix of speed and awesome cars is so cool. Not to mention the gret photography that came from the event.
I despise the fact that Nismo Festival is not on there. XD

more than hundred corners, pedal to metal...,thin air..,sure Pikes Peak
imo couldn't be a better choice than the Indy 500. While at the time not as big as deal as some of the other races/events like Spa or Daytona, after the events of Las Vegas it will always be looked upon in a different light.
As much as I had fun at Pikes Peak and getting to meet some of you guys, that lone Audi holding off the Peugeots in the 24 hr of Le Mans was just too great.

I'm with Brett on this - the 2011 24 hours of le mans had some of the nastiest wrecks but the audi fending off the peugeots was the stuff of legends
I'd love to put down bathurst as its a cracker of an event every year, but considering WTAC was the only australian event i went to this year I'd have to say that gets my vote
It is not easy to choose my favourite because there are some really good events. But my choice is the "Goodwood Festival of Speed" .

Pikes Peak, no questions asked. The ten minute barer was broke this year.
I've been at Daytona, Le Mans and Spa this year. The Daytona 500 gets my vote, I didn't really like Nascar until that day..

Lemans is the Mecha of ALL Motorsports- football has its Superbowl, Football (or Soccer as us Yanks call it) has its World Cup, Baseball has its World Series and Motorports has Lemans. Its where the most advanced technology is discovered demonstrated and introduced, hell- Disc Brakes where introduced at Lemans! There is NO OTHER STRAIGHT AWAY MORE FAMOUS THAN THE MULSANNE STRAIGHTAWAY- with cars going so fast and reaching breakneck speeds, you'd think they would warp back in time!The BEST of the BEST go there, and most advanced cars go competing at the International level and the WORLD gets involved-USA has brought over there Cobra, Shelby GT40,Corvette, Viper, Cadilliac, Japan has Nissan,Toyota, Mazda, Honda. British have Jaguar, Aston Martin, Italy gets its licks in with Ferrari and the Germans bring there powerhouse Porsche, Audi, and BMWs as you can see not just one country gets involved. You can Formula 1 me to death- but it will NEVER hold a candle to how prestigious the 24 Hours Of Lemans is!

I'm a drifter by heart, but since I didn't see any of the Ebisu matsuri's, it stood between Bonneville and Pikes Peak.

to me nothing can beat the adrenalin rush of 24 Hours of Le Mans, the greatest 24 hours racing of all time

The Daytona 500 was AMAZING! Best finish ever in a NASCAR race (tops quite a list of them). I know SPEEDHUNTERS doesn't usually cover Nascar, but it deserves some serious consideration.
