While I’ve done my best to show you guys the Rennsport Reunion experience, sometimes you have just need to have motion and sound. Here’s a great onboard compilation of Mark Hotchkis driving the Porsche 962 last weekend.

No music, no silly stuff. Just a man and his machine doing work.

A crummy commercial?

I love how he made the GT2 Porsche lock up his brakes before the corkscrew.

Old school vs new school!

You could really see the differences in straightline and cornering speed between the 962 and Audi/Porsche prototypes. The 962's turbocharged engine really propelled it in the straights but the prototypes with their aero/downforce were able to brake later and keep the speed around turns.

Great video

The part at the end where the other 962 almost lost it, then saves it, is pretty epic.

I've got to give it to you Speehunter guys, the Rennsport coverage has been fantasic....Getting this video on the site only futhers the job well done. Much appreciated from us Porsche nuts. Now if you got a similar video of one of the historic 935's, I might lose it :)

some skilled driving in what some consider ultimate driving machines.. wicked!

Rumor was they had really old tires as that 962 had 16's on it, which the tires are now unavailable for. They think with fresh tires they would have dropped 10 seconds from the laptime and beaten the RS Spyders. It really hurt the corning performance.

If anybody needs me, I'll be replaying this a few hundred times. See y'all in a few weeks. :)
