Nissan has just unveiled the Juke-R concept at a press event in Spain. It looks even better than
in the renders we saw at the start of the project.
For those
of you who didn’t see or hear anything
about this car, you can check out several videos on the Nissan Juke Youtube
channel. It’s basically a Nissan Juke that’s been mated with the complete
running gear of the Nissan GT-R.

this would be a great addition for our Street Cars & Sleepers month

I just had a discussion on Sunday regarding a Juke and I thought the top half of the car would have potential. Now after this pic was released I've made a few changes...and I think I would like it...would be a nice FT-86 contender

The Nissan Juke: The face only a mother could love.
It's not a VQ35, is a VR38
It would be a real Toyota FR-S killer if they truly made and marketed something with this style but mayube a little more tame and sold it for about 30grand. They would sell tens of thousands of them.
The front still looks disgusting! The Juke could be a cousin of the infamous Fiat Multipla!
Haha, for a second I thought you meant sell exact copies of this car for 30 grand. I bet thats how much the transmission and awd computers cost without the engine. I totally agree with you though, a hotter juke above the current turbo with 250hp/tq or a recent vq motor would be lots of fun! (with awd)
Can Nissan please enter the WRC with the regular Juke? 1.6 turbo is PERFECT for the new regulation. If Mini can put on a program with that bulbus countryman, Nissan needs to get in the game with the Juke!!! Please Nissan! Make this happen and give P.Solberg a work team shot!!!

What I'm missing in the comments is that nobody is actually amazed how Nissan managed to squeeze all that running gear of the GT-R in such cramped little body. Just compare the sizes of the two and start wondering where Nissan found the room,,,
On the other hand: who needs footwells for the passengers anyway?
I don't see how it falls into Streetcars and Sleepers given its a concept car and looks like its had an arm full of steroids.

PGTampa : Just imagine what they are doing with that donor r35, its probably being used as a tester for the 2013 gtr with the rumored 570-600hp drivetrain.

from the first time i heard the juke was being made with a 1.6 turbo engine i hoped nissan might enter the wrc,now with the juke-r it seems to be getting closer as they will develop a 4wd platform for this chassis.please nissan....do the right thing!!! p.s. i love the look of the juke-r,imagine the performance from it......................

Without the backseat it pretty much defeats the whole design concept/ coolness. Like the Nissan engineers are never going to carpool out to bars or whatever in this.
Why would i want an uglier fatter GTR?
from my understanding the engine sits below the wheels so the roll is pretty much next to none. Im not sure if i like it, but at the same time i love it. Should be interesting for sure and a blast to drive!
Still think Nissan should've picked a different car for this. Something like the Altima coupe.
I always like the Juke from the first concept, it has an ugliness that is attractive... similar to the odd looks of the original xb. sign me up!
