What were you doing on April 10, 1994?
If you were Minkara user "164 Rain Man" then you would have been at Autopolis Circuit in Japan racing AE86s. That's where this photo was snapped. Just thought I'd post this as a little appetizer to our 86 Day features. I love everything about this picture – mid 1990s Japanese circuit car style at its best.

I was 12yrs. old and my brother would take me to the street races with him in Sylmar. Once Battle of the Imports opened we were there watching Cyber, Redline, R-Version etc. battling it out. I watched history in the making.
i wasnt even born yet broo
Woooooooooooosh @_@
at that time I was 10 years old...... 80s and 90s were the golden age, wish if I can go back and stuck there for ever!
i was 4 years old, and didn't know what the heck an 86 was... i didn't even know where japan was

I was 1 year old, going on 2 on April 10, 1994.
WOW! I love everything about this picture. Brings back some good times.
Great picture.
Back in those days 15 inch tires/wheels were for posers, people who really drove their cars stuck to 14 inch. Seems funny now, but that's the way it was.
Damn nice!
function over form.
I can't wait for the most awaited 86 day,... August 6, 2011 Yeah!

A lot of these present-day bandwagonner fanboys were not even born then....

I was 6 months old lol do we need to go that far back in the past?
Was at my sisters birthday party
wow, i was 9yo
in 92 we went to our Toyota dealer and bought a Red GTS hatch...
I was 2 going 3 back then, surprising thing was my dad taught me which car was which from various magazines, but i was simply too young to appreciate the value of some 86s being in Japan, which frankly i didn't even know existed back then.
Nice!
Classic!
DEEEEEESKTOOOOOOOOOP
would've loved to have seen that transporter as a "young-'un.." love the picture by the way! - i was 'raising hell' back as a young wannabe 'petrol-head' that couldn't even reach the clutch or brake pedals on an original Mini.. i started saving for my first car a year after!
