When looking at the Top 20 overtakes, it'd be impossible to leave out NASCAR. With the type of action the stock car racing provides, there been have been some truly amazing passes over the years.
Take the 2003 Darlington race for example where Kurt Busch and Ricky Craven battled it out door to door during the final laps. The cars were banging against each other as they crossed the finish line, with Craven taking the win by mere inches.
It may not have been a dominant overtake, or even a great one – but it shows just how exciting a NASCAR finish can get.

I have a feeling Busch probably wasn't the happiest man alive after that.

I watched this live and to this day it gives me chills. It's the greatest finish to a motor race I've ever seen by a massive margin (ironic since the margin of victory was so close). I've still got the full race on VHS ...
I've never seen another race where two guys put it all on the line to win like this. Nothing mattered but the win, they would rather crash than finish second. And that's what racing is all about
I remember watching this when I was 13. Still the most exciting finish I've ever seen.

Commentator 1: "These cars are not drivin well any more..."
Commenter 2: "Naw, these cars are diving just fine..."
Unsaid Comment: "...they're just driving the living crap out of them, well above and beyond the limit."
That's how most of my races in GT5 end up looking like.
Gotta love the commentary "Both these cars are driving terrible right now" "Naw, naw, they're driving good!"
Doesn't matter what type of racing it is, that was a heck of a finish.
Nicolas, if you watch the post-race interviews Busch enjoyed it almost as much as Craven ... it was racing with no compromise, and both drivers loved it.
I think it is possible to leave out Nascar. Maybe if it was top 1000 you could fit them in the 900s

Compare this to the other two overtakes you already posted - this is dull. I don't know why you're all suddenly on this Nascar craze, but what Nascar has become has nothing to do with real road racing. No more Nascar on Speedhunters, please.

Nascar does road racing along with oval racing, this pass/battle was far better then the indy pass. And going by your theory, then speed hunters shouldnt cover drift or time attack, as drift isnt real racing, and time attack isnt racing, its basicaly a qualifying event without a race.
But speedhunters is not about racing its about cars. This post isnt about racing its about great passing.
If you want racing go watch speed channel.

Yes it is the most commercial sport, With people driving cars with 6 names lol but hey, 43 cars going 200mph all day, and being able to bump draft,bang around,crash, and still win the race... Thats amazing.
