We’re at the Paul Ricard circuit this weekend, just half an hour from the bustling port of Marseille on the south coast of France, for the fourth round of the FIA European GT3 championship. The GT3 teams are set up in the paddock behind the pit-lane, finding what shade they can under the sparse trees and hoping their trucks and awnings won’t turn into the ovens they became in Spain. Luckily for Team Need For Speed and Schubert Motorsport, our trucks are right by the paddock café, so at least ice cream is just moments away… The first Free Practice session has already taken place here, with the two Team NFS BMWs back in 12th and 15th after trying out some new set-ups. New new settings are being put on for the second practice session later today, which hopefully should get the BMWs back up to the sharp end of the field. The Lamborghini are looking frighteningly quick again at the moment…
