Car Spotlight>>rsr For The Street

During my recent visit to Cars & Coffee, I once again came across a stunning 911 that needs to be shared. This 1978 930 has been converted into a street-going RSR/934 replica with all the style you'd expect of a vintage Porsche race car.

With only 32,000 total miles on the chassis and just 12,000 since its resto – the car is in immaculate condition. Thanks to its Leaf Green paintwork, it's has been affectionately dubbed "The Frog". The angriest, sexiest frog ever that is.

Thanks to some engine tuning and a healthy amount of boost, horsepower figures are said to be right around 420.

917 style centerlock wheels with Michelin rubber define the race car look.

As do the 934 rear hips.

It's not a trailer queen either. The car has made the journey to Porsche events all around California.

Like it? Love it? Want to own it? Check out AutoKennel, where it's being offered for sale at the about same price as a new base model 911 Carrera.

New or old? Take your pick.

2

all the way down to the twin plug per cylinder. last rsr i drove screamed to 10,000RPM. nicely done.

3

love it! Old cars have way more character than new ones, despite their performance disadvantage.

4

Absolutely beautiful.....love the color....big ups for rocking center locks on the street.so boss

5

That is absolutely one of the coolest looking 911's I have seen

6

Woah, almost $80,000!!

The car looks very prestigious though so I guess it's worth it.

7

better than the new 911s by far

8

The whole car is butter! Proper power, and that wheel, tire combo is perfect.

9

Sick car! I really like it!

I prefer the older 911s because of their weight and looks. I don't like the newer heavier 996 and 997s, which look more like grand touring cars. To compare, Rauh Welt's 930 Stella Artois weighs 2,100 lbs, while the 997 GT3 RS weighs around 3,000 lbs or 900 lbs more. Also as a kid, I remember the older upright windshield and lights looked so classic.

I wan...no, I NEED it! only then will i truly be "happy"...well until the next "need" arises

12

those look like centerlock revoloution wheela

Dear nice people at Rauh Welt. THIS IS HOW ITS DONE!!! Aggressive exterior, matched up by an engine that actually delivers on the promises of the body...

15

Miss Piggy is the angriest sexiest frog ever!! This may however come in a close second....

Super cool, would love this in my garage.
