Last month, Mike Garrett gave us a sneak peak at the build of Luke Lonberger's Formula D C6 Covette. This past weekend, the completed car was unveiled at the first round of Red Line Time Attack at Willow Springs International Raceway. Fellow Speedhunter, Larry Chen, was on hand at the track to snap away some photos of the car as it ripped around Horse Thief Mile.
How about one more photo just got good measure?
The first round of Formula D in Long Beach is shaping up to be quite an event with the introduction of all these new cars….

This is nice. How's the BMW Z4 going along?
Hi guys, I know its a drift car so you dont care about aero so much but the GT2 wing's rear wing end plates are designed so that you can adjust them back to parallel with ground plane after you change the wing angle of attack. This is even more critical for you since you are in motion at high yaw angle, the extra underhang will increase the effected region in the wake of the end plate area and cause you to lose downforce. Just thought I would let you know, also this wing performs well in high yaw compared to most wings.

was there for time attack practice on saturday and saw and better yet heard it tearing up the short course a couple times, sounded sexy
Awesome. Although I will agree, it does look a little plain. I suppose its the color choice with the body and the wheels. And maybe even a different front bumper, like the Gieger one. Cant wait to see this thing in person!!
