Breaking cover for the very first time, the rotary powered Team Need for Speed D-Mac AE86 made its public debut at the Irish launch of the latest Need for Speed title, Shift2 Unleashed. To celebrate the occassion of this long-awaited moment, we've put together a series of dektop images for your viewing pleasure.
I still can't quite believe how quickly this all came about.
Although it is not completely finished according to D-Mac's & MCNSport's high standards, it was absolutely amazing to see and hear this car move under its own power for the first time. What an incredible noise it makes.
Along with its upcoming full and in-depth feature, we'll be bringing you the latest of the build updates as D-Mac puts the finishing touches to his magnum opus.

the rear lights are just shells of the originals I assume, so everytime it gets bounced off a wall, your not replacing hard to find lights.
that could easily pass as a group b prototype of the ae86. suddenly i want to build one for rallying!

seriously takumi you are dumb. Dude is irish and the car isnt defiently not in america. A simple read of the qoutes for this blog would have told you that. Plus its 500 horsepower and i can promise that with that much power and that much tire it will drift through corners well over twice the speed of your tofu carrying 86.

Needs taillights!! Also, can I make a suggestion of where this thing should appear? Dmac you should tackle Road America! Imagine hearing the rotary scream through the forests! High speeds with great turns, you can do some exciting stuff there.
Takumi, just shut up. This car ain't 800 hp, the wing is meant for function, not form, and the car isn't even AMERICAN.
@takumi do you not know that this car and driver is 100% irish and far from american and that so called 800hp is 500 and the wing is funtional as is the rest of this build. the car was built for 1 thing and 1 thing only. to be driven as hard, fast, lifethreatening as much as possible and you know what hats off to the man for building the most insane ae86 in the world and to even try what he's done and yet succeeded! love the car because of whats been done to it and it just looks so animal. !
