Almost a year ago, we featured that much loathed or loved 240z which invaded the automotive internet like a virus. Since then, it has changed ever so slightly and now has the appearance of a World War II Japanese fighter plane –a plane which actually shuns taking to the air but would rather hug the earth as close as possible….
I recently ran into the owner, Yuta, and he mentioned that both the car and himself will be shipping off for the land of the rising sun, permanently, in a few months time. How is the car is going to transform in the rice motherland? Only time can tell.

Wow, I'd heard that this Z had changed, but was guessing that it had gotten more polished, not gotten more rough. I have mixed feelings on the livery. Don't get me wrong, I love the Japanese war plane look, but I liked the plain rusted look slightly more...it could just be the lighting in the photos, though. The previous set had more of a "Wangan Midnight Devil Z" look to them. If they were two different Z's I'd probably like it more, since that way you wouldn't have to give up one for the other.

sorry, you lost me at "japanese fighter plane". if i remember my history correctly, japanese military ain't something i wanna glorify. neither is the german military look either. zombie look? that's cool. to each his own, though. this is just my opinion.
I still prefer the older look.
The graphics add a nice touch with the whole Zero Fighter Jet, but I still rather it be non graphic'd.

Im usually pretty open minded about car modification, but I agree with J.A.C.K. about glorifying the japanese military, or one of their weapons. i know its probably just to represent the origins of the car, but how anti-patriotic is that shit? lol flipping the bird to uncle sam on his way out the country?

I'm loving that big red circle on the door. Pretty sums up the history and culture of Japan when it comes to cars.
This kind of look is not for everyone, and not everyone can pull it off. I applaud Yuta for his creativity and to have the courage to stand up amongst the rest.

Its like the ultimate expression of Dave Scholz's Slidesquad 240Z's matte paint, ZG flares and solid coloured Japanese wheels theme (exception being I guess that Dave's car made up for lack of extremity with functionality).
