Heat, humidity and our dearest star's warm rays are strange occurrences in the Pacific Northwest. But it's not as strange as seeing Mad Mike's BadBull RX-8 sans-GT wing. The rear wing was giving the car too much grip on the Evergreen Speedway Formula D course, so it was removed. The team also added more rear camber to take anyway a little more grip (which also made the rear wheels fit insanely flush!). The result? A happy, wide-open-throttle'd, smoking Mad Mike and an RX-8 that looks sleeker and even more insane.
Aesthetically, wing or no wing? That is the question.

TE's are great wheels, but i think changing the wheels on this thing would take away the personality of the car... What makes this car cool is that it is ridiculously over the top and stands out like a motherfucker.

if he changed the wheels to te37s he may as well change the engine to a chev based v8 and tubeframe everything but the factory firewall and suspension pickups so he could be like the rest of the NASCARS in formula D. Mikes style is what got him noticed by red bull, without the clownsuit ronald mcdonald is just another guy
These people asking for wheel changes are are high. Mad Mike's rx-8 is the best looking car in FD for two reasons: ride height, and wheel choice. so please don't ever change them!
hmmmm thats tough cuz its an insane agressive car so a wing kinda fits it....buut its also got the hellaflush theme where the wingless makes it wayyy cleannnnn. tough choice but i say keep the baller ass rims and no wing. looks wayy clean and just fits.

Wing or no wing that is that phatest RX8 around, and as for the rims nothing will look as good as those. Those rims are part of the reason that car performs the way it does. BTW i hung out with Mad Mike outside the track, and he is the coolest guy in FD. let's go Mad Mike!

Wing or no wing, not fussed as long as Mike is competitive, kickin ass and having a ball. Definitely the best lookin drift car (other than his "26B" RX7) to come out of NZ. At an NZ Drift round last year, he ran the RX8 on some massive Meister S1's, so it'd be fair to say hes experimented to an extent with wheel choice.

No wing.... but I think it would look slightly better with a subtle trunk lip, not sure if there's any function to that though.
I think that the overall presence of this car is just so over the top that it should keep the wing. Whether it's the crazy wheels, the crazy stance, the crazy livery or whatever else, it seems this car should rock a crazy wing too. The idea of a rear lip is a good idea too, but only if it was obnoxiously ridiculous. But wing aside, this car is fresh beyond comprehension.
