Rarely has a section of track, any track, been so aptly named.
The Flugplatz lives up to its name during last weekend's racing, as the launching point for the Team Rowe Motorsport Porsche GT3.

Where is the coveraaaaaagggeeeeee???
The funny thing is that the name doesn't come from the cars flying there. But the name comes from a small airfield, which was located in the early years close to the track in this area.

Wellllll, according to the old Nordschleife geeks this is not Flugplatz, but the last part of Quiddelbacher Höhe. Flugplatz (airfield) is a short distance down the track, after the light bend, named after the airfield that once was there left of the track
all i hear is blah blah blah no coverage of the 24.
make with the coverage. vids would be nice too. i cant find any vids of this year anywhere on the net. does anybody ahve a link?
