In The Moment>> The Origin Of Sideways

Having attending so many drift events in the last few years, I never fail to get excited by a MK2 Escort on full lock, blasting the ditch in the outer atmosphere. I'll have full coverage of the MK2 Escort Challenge up early this week.

For now, head over to the desktop section to grab this as your wallpaper.

I wholeheartedly agree.

I love the japanese drift scene and drive an s13 myself, but there is something so absolutely right about a small, boxy, yet incredibly badass looking MK2 kicking its tail out on a tight rally course....

These cars just project such absolute élan that to me, they put many of the more modern, luxurious, and fancier cars to shame

whenever you drive a MK2 it's hard not to do that on every corner.

You captured Howlett and Tectos style right there ! You need to put the video up of Tector on the bonnet doing the trottle when the cable snapped !

always had a soft spot for the Escorts my father used to race them in all their guises.. RS2000, Mexico's & 1600 Sport.. he still has a MK1 tucked away in his garage as well as a Capri 2600 - yeah we need some Ford love up in here!!

my father has an MK II for rallying...just such a sick ride...going sideways every corner.

Brings back memories of being a teenager in New Zealand in the late 80's... Inky Tulloch had a MkII that always gave me goosebumps watching it run when he was going really hard against the well funded WRC teams of the time in Rally of NZ. Great stuff Paddy.
