Random Snap>> 1972 Hakosuka

Mark Arcenal from Fatlace just got himself a new car. The guys at RHD Japan imported this car for him and it looks brand new. I'm always amazed to see these cars in such good condition!

@ Rick:

No to defend Mark (Arcenal)....but if you're gonna stamp 100 t-shirts the price is that.

Now....if you're like Nike that stamps 1,000,000 t-shirts....then you can charge $19.99.....it's called business.

23

I'd kill for one of those

24

poppa la hood! seriously tho this is pretty epic. with all the trends that is out there, this is pretty fresh. an old school classic... INVU

25

It's a clone...clean nonetheless.

26

FINALLY SELLING ALL THOSE STICKERS PAID OFF!!! HAHAHAH CONGRATS MARK!!!

27

Helladouche, it is hard work exploiting children to make ugly $6 shoes. Even harder work to pimp them to gangbangers for $200 because you are so cool. Enjoy your blood money.

28

Very sweet vintage ride.

@Alex.... Business? cmon. $30 for a shirt that cost ~$5. Call what you like.

29

car looks sweet.. i'm very "green eyed"

30

i fucking love these cars.

31

DAMN!

The things I would do with a Hakosuka!

It's just sitting there waiting to be modified!

Lower it a bit, pump the offset and flare out.

Congrats on the purchase.

32

Congrats on your purchase looks like an awesome example, Just goes to prove if you do something you love you can be successful at it.

I want my next ride to be a Hako just like yours, to match my white/black DR30 RS-X coupe ;)

The inner hater in me wants to agree with Phil, but if it was that easy we'd all be doing it 2. The margins on street wear are incredible if you can actually sell all your t-shirts. Therein lies the catch, everyone and their mother thinks they can and should start an urban wear line. . FYI, even at the smaller economies of scale I'd be surprised if Fatlace couldn't make money selling tees for $10, but why would they? $30 is cheap compared to the rest of the stuff they sell. Why do you think I only buy their license plates frames? Lol.

34

Guys, it's only a ripoff, haha! Why get so worked up when the car is only a replica? T-shirt money needs another 100k before legitimacy comes into the equation. I bet this guy even drives around with GT-R badges on the front and rear!

What's with all of the hating? I've met Mark & I've heard his story. He's definitely come a long way to achieve what he has now. Also, what you guys don't realize is that a true Hakosuka GT-R in as good of a condition as Mark Arcenal's replica has a price tag of close to $100,000 in Japan. Getting one out of Japan is just as difficult as well. Rather than bashing on someone for replication a such a historical car, be appreciative of this beautiful piece of machinery. Rocking GT-R badges on a non-GT-R Hakosuka is like driving a car in the states with a Japanese front license plate. It's not the real deal, but it's as good as it gets.
