Random Snap>> Ls1 Powered S14

I just had to post this picture up here. I love the composition and the subject doesn't look bad either! It's a S14 with Work Bersaglio wheels in 19". What we can't see is the front that has been treated with a S15 nose and the LS1 that powers the car. You can see more pictures made by Danny Robins on his Flickr page.

Nice S14.5 there. LS1s fit so nicely in there too. *thumbsup*

5

@ STJ: LOL @ you thinking LS1s are crap engines. Typical fanboy purist response.

Awesome car by the way.

6

I wouldn't go LS1 but it is a beast. Plus the engine note is like a mating call and a p***y magnet in one.

7

STJ just made yourself look like an idiot.

8

13

LS1 blows. Stop putting dinosaur engines in nice Jjapanese cars.

14

So why LS1?

Sure, it is something different in a S14... Maybe buy a GM next time..?

Maybe the owner likes the characteristics of Nissan and GM...

To me, the SR does the job fine.

Feel free to justify the your answers, I am willing to hear it...

The same people who rag on LSx motors (and pushrods in general) are the same ones who get their asses handed to them at the racetrack, whether it be in a straight line or around the curves. I like SR20s just as much as the next person but let's be for real here. Dinosaur motors? SRs, RBs, etc. aren't exactly new and innovating either.

In response to NISMO OMORI FACTORY:

A lot of people ask why? And some say, why not? If Nissan built a V8 worth a damn, surely people would be using those instead but since they haven't and probably never will, it makes perfect sense to go with an LSx. They're torquey, reliable, and get great gas mileage. And unlike the VH45, they have tons of potential/aftermarket support. These engines have come a long way. They're tried and true, so why change a perfectly good thing?

20

ls1=dinosaur engine?? they aren't as old as SR's....and just a stock ls1 is a torque monster all day long

21

looks more than ok to me... but hey its all personal opinion... rock on my man!!

22

XYZ

I see your point.

Call me old fashion but I am a Nissan man all the way...

"Why change a perfectly good thing?"

Yes, I'd ask the same question.

Each to their own and yes I was interested as you mentioned they are torquey engines, reliable, and get great gas mileage... Why not, yeah... :D

Greater gas mileage in a V8 as opposed to a inline 4?

V8 technology must have come a long way...

Hehe!

please desktop

Having the power advantage of the LS1 is pointless because the engine throws off the balancing of the whole car.

V.Cool car! I dont mind putting different engines in different cars, but swaping an SR20 for an LS1 i think its wrong! Just my opinion.
