Gallery>> R31 House

In Japan there is one shop to go if you need something done to your R31 Skyline. They are called R31house and are able to turn any R31 into a true circuit racer. R31house  also offer lots of track days for their customers as can been seen in the following pictures.

A R31 saloon never looked this good. A set of gold BBS wheels, race inspired interior and some mild body modifications really sets this car off. The car is just waiting for the owner to take it for a spin at the Fuji Speedway.

With its lowered ride height, small wheels and old school feel this R31 looks more like a ‘Shakotan' inspired car.

This R31 is one of the demo cars that R31house has built over the years.

It features a lot of trick parts and has a Hakosuka racecar inspired livery. Too bad I can't read Japanese because I was looking for some more info about his car but I couldn't find any.

Here it can been seen with some other creations made by R31house. Do I see this right that somebody is getting married in the background?

The R31 saloon doesn't only look good in the pits but looks even better out on the racetrack. Most of these cars are powered by RB20's or RB25's but there are also versions with a RB26.

One of my favorite R31's with a clean exterior and Volk GT-C wheels.

This R31 looks exceptionally good with its wider fenders and TE37 wheels. When being pushed to their limits they can even been caught catching a drift.

Another one of R31house project cars is this R31 with RE30 wheels. The liveries of all their democars looks to be inspired by their SuperGT brothers, just like this…

…R31 with a full Calsonic livery.

R31house even caters for those that want to bring their car to the dragstrip. So that's it for me with the R31, tomorrow it's time for the R32.

That red wagon is piff. Must...have.

The car you called "saloon" is actually an estate/station wagon. Saloon = sedan where I'm from. Fair enough if that's what you think it's called though. Just thought I'd point it out. Nice post though. I especially like the " 'shakotan' inspired" car!

As much as I love the aftermarket airdams, if I had a R31 I couldn't give up the stock transformer insta lip! That is the coolest god damn thing ever!

so so so mean love them

6

The red wagon is awsome, and the passage with hako tails is also good.

7

Who does not remember the past in that there is no future date!

8

Jeroen, your pics and write up are awesome!.... However..... Why do you keep calling the Estate (wagon) a saloon? As far as I kno a Saloon is a 4 door car (or sedan). A coupe is a 2 door car and an Estate (or wagon for USA peoples) is the car with 4 doors and a hatch.

Please correct me if im wrong.

9

holyshit... this is what i come here for

10

I'm in love with the red one with TE's <3

The 4th R31 is desktop worthy!

I have always seen R31's as "Granpa" cars but there is nothing "Granpa" about these R31's.

Looks F**KING mad!

13

Love R31's too! Love the story and some great pics! Wish you guys could do a more in depth story on the R31 House cars. ;)

Did any of the japanese r31s have a rb30 from the factory?

15

nope jap spec only had rb20 ( of varying variety), CA18 (and maybe ca20) and rd28 diesel.

they did come with a rb20E which to the untrained eye looks the same as the 30E.

cheers

elliot

Btw why are only R31 house car featured. plenty of other awesome R31's in Aus and South africa

R31House know how to do it right - some fantastic creations..

CA18S, LPG CA18S, CA18I, CA18DE, RB20E, RB20ET, RB20DE, RB20DET, RB20DET-R, RD28, and possibly others, but no 'factory' RB30 cars. The Tommy Kaira M30 of the era had a RB30 short motor with the late HR31 RB20DET head modified to fit, however (but thats not exactly 'from the factory').
