Here’s a quick video clip of Chris Rado’s groundbreaking 6.87 @ 197 MPH quarter mile pass last month in Pomona.

Wow.

Wheres the front spoiler?

6

G the fwing is on his time attack car, not his drag car

7

I think that was pretty much the cleanest drag launch I've ever seen! Congrats to Rado!

8

Did anyone else notice that. The staged bulb stays on well after the car is moving. Which would not allow the timing clocks to start. Giving Rado a huge head start off the starting line, and making the times inaccurate.

9

Hell yes! That is one smoking time for qualifiers.

10

to the person asking about the staged bulbs.

that bulb would only effect the 60ft clock. it doesnt effect the ET clock (completely separate timing system).

the NHRA was aware of this problem (it was obvious from the 60ft times). So they were using their high speed cameras to verify the 60ft times (were actually sub 1.1)

NHRA has certified his times

You are wrong. There are only two beams that matter in drag racing the first one and the last one. Every other one just measure your progress down the track. So if one is off they are all off.

He should try backing that time up, if he wants to try and say he has the fastest FWD car.
