I saw some of the comments in my previous random snap, asking what lap-time these cars do on Tsukuba. Well almost all cars build by Rauh Welt are around the 1 minute mark. Funny thing is though that a Nissan S14 was faster than all the Porsches during this race.

Nakai's Porsches are stunning looking......but that doesn't mean they are blistering fast.....by fast I mean in the 55 sec. range.
We could stay here and have a debate all day long about appearance vs. functionality.

1min flat is still pretty fast considering some of those 911s are 20yrs old. AFAIK an R35 GTR does 1'03 out of the box?

I love Nakai's sense of style, because there really isn't any. In an interview he said the only reason the fenders are so huge and aggressive is to clear the wheels, there's little to no aesthetics in play when he builds, the car looks like that because it serves a function. I love the exposed bolts, rubber bits to protect the homebrew bodykit from rubbing on the track, it all just emits badass-ness.
Tomi hold your tongue, a 1-minute lap time at Tsukuba is nothing to scoff at.

any Skyline has jet to meet a porsche in a propper race series as i can recall.
And the FIA GT1 skyline is basicaly a tube frame car with a V8 so keep looking.

That huge ECSTA logo needs to go cause it sucks. Oh, Nakai-san's 911 runs at about 58 secs at its quickest, I think. That's really really fast for a 350+ hp NA car. The record for an NA car is at the 57 mark by the ASM S2000. That's a huge feat in itself.
I was going to say, this 911 is probably N/A. Lack of rear fender vents and GT2-style spoiler intakes to feed the turbos, which are pretty necessary on the high power FI air cooled engines. RSR-specced flat 6?
Kevin said it best, these 911's are still very very fast for what engines they run. They do how ever out-class pretty much everything in tire size, so they have a huge edge in mechanical grip. I'd love to see one with a tuned 997 GT3 motor in it, that would be awesome!
I'd still like to know about the S14 that was faster. I only want to see it because I own an S14 and its geared more toward time attack/ track days.
The S14 may be faster, but I'd bet dollars to donuts it doesn't ooze style like RW's Porsches....
Complaining about a 1min Tsukuba time is like saying that Charlize Theron is ugly because she isn't quite as pretty as Jessica Alba

Its also a dvd about it, it kicks ass.
the s14 probably had shorter gear ratios than the 911
