Random Snap >> E39 M5 Powered E30

I spotted this car last year whilst at the Swedish round of the Prodrift European Series. It all looks very ordinary, but under the hood lies an S62 4.9L V8 pumping out 400 horsepower. On the flight back I was talking to our guy who works the startline and when the car first rolled up, he thought the car was down a cylinder (not knowing about the V8 conversion) He signalled this to the driver who smiled and replied that it wasn't down one; but up four.

Why the mild suspention setup? Or even yet, is it stock!?

4

SUV stance, ugly paint job.

5

ride hieght fail!

6

Man, tough crowd...I say that paint job is all WIN. M stripes FTW.

That ride height is perfect. The front is just slightly dipped and still leaves some ground clearance, and possibly a bit of flex. I'd much rather have a very stiff chassis with a bit of flex in the suspension than a very stiff chassis with no flex in the suspension. He has a fairly serious roll cage, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's pretty firm overall.

I second the desktop image request, by the way. White is sexy.

the car is now sporting a strait6 turboed motor from hell aprox 550 bhp.. and the driver rasmus pedersen is one big nutcase when he drives the car...

As Lasse said, there is not a V8 engine in the car any more. Just look at this picture:
