Early in 2008 I was at Tsukuba Circuit when I saw this fully-tuned Nissan Pulsar GTI-R running at a track day. My memory has escaped me a bit, but I recall an SR20VE swap (or head conversion at least), a rear radiator being vented through the back windows, and of course the wide body conversion – which I'm assuming is one-off.
Looking back, I really regret not tracking down the owner to learn more about the car. Since then I've searched the 'net countless times for more details no avail.
Whatever the story is, I can't imagine there being another Pulsar GTI-R out there built more thoroughly than this one.

Haha I wish you'd dug deeper into this car too! What a sight. There are a fair few well built GTi-R's here in the performance car scene here in NZ, but this is something else!

I've seen Mike post pictures of this car before. If I remember correctly the valve cover is painted hot pink and lime green, a la Fresh Prince of Bel Aire.
