Random Snap>> A Little Dirt Doesn’t Hurt!

Here in Southern California, warm weather is coming soon! I look forward to upcoming Just Drift events and ZipTied All Star Bash! Nowadays, All Star Bash style is all about big aero, super wide wheels, stretched tires, fat lips, etc… however, I wonder how many Speedhunters readers and grassroots drifting enthusiasts remember the days when it was a little more simple?

Up above, check out Stan Tran's RPS13, doing a little dirt drop action at the Willow Springs oval. This was from one of the early All Star Bashes, I believe it was in 2006. No huge aero, just a normal bodied RPS13, with some 18 inch Enkei wheels, doing dirt!

Although I really love big aggressive aero S13s, I still gotta give respect to the guys drifting with normal bodied cars, even with KA engines. I've found that a lot of the best S13 drivers became good by practicing aggressive driving with their normally aspirated KA engines, and only upgraded to SR20DETs once they were able to handle the additional power. Very cool. Let's go, ASB!

YESSSSS

Antonio, have you heard how HUGE this ASB is going to be.

We have the RISKY DEVILS coming out from Chicago.

We have a couple dudes planning to ship cars over from New Zealand.

Also..... 4 tracks over 2 days????? WHATTTT yes true.

This is going to be THE best drifting the USA has EVER seen.

I want to make the trek across the country with the e46.

ASB needs more BMW!!!

Just another typical Antonio article. Worthless and full of name dropping. Hahaha you know I'm messing with you.

But on a serious note, the title should read "A lil dirt don't hurt." Your use of proper English disgusts me.

ZIPTIED All Star Bash would like to have Andy Sapp #1.

Nice, looking forward to the coverage from ASB.

I have to agree 1000% with this statement. It's my preferred method for any form of motorsport -- start with low power and good handling and learn the art of control. Only then should you add power. It's made some impressive drivers across all disciplines.
