Ah, the same video that has been around first on Jalopnik, then on my blog, then on Japanese Nostalgic Car blog and now here as well! Great to see everybody picks up that video. ;)

Then I can repost my Jalopnik comment here as well: Gan-san speaks of the good old days when he drove the Hakosuka on Fuji Speedway. This video shows him doing that in the early 70s:

i couldn't help but lol a little at the way he pronounced "hakosuka" :D typical for a foreign word and a native english speaker though... emphasis on the second-to-last syllable

.

The carbs though! my word the carbs, i LOVE that sound! great post Rod!

there's only one problem.... guys like us never grow up :D

Yeah, the video's been around for years now, it's originally from Best Motoring International: Fuji Fast which celebrates the old Fuji Speedway.

Does any one know if they ever raced in Europe and if so how did they do and in what championships did they race?

I want one of those so badly. . . what a perfect car. It hurts to think I could never even find one back in Toronto, let alone out here in Halifax.

Sweet GOD !!!

Matt.B: they can be imported for you for a total cost of around 35 grand :O
