Gallery>> Photos Of The Year Part2

When looking at the television late last night I noticed that all the channels are gearing up to make their ‘best off' compilations before the end of the year. I'm not a real fan of all these lists because all the stuff that I like isn't featured in them. But when Rod asked me if I could pick the best pictures that were taken by the Speedhunters contributors, I immediately said yes; now I was the one who could be the judge.

At first I thought making a top ten is easy, but when I started browsing through all the pictures that are posted on Speedhunters I immediately realized this was going to be tough one. After I made up my mind on the pictures I was going to use I found a dozen more that could have been featured. So the decision making was hard but eventually I chose these ten pictures. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did selecting them.

Idlers Games, Tsukuba, Japan: The chrome rims together with the deep red color on the car just oozes style. I have always enjoyed the coverage Mike did on the Idlers Club gatherings. I hope it will be no different next year.

24 Hours of Spa, Spa-Francorshamps Circuit, Belgium: My first time shooting with a DSLR camera during the 24hrs of Spa. This brings back great memories. It was the first time I met Rod, Antonio, John and David. I loved this picture so much I even made a poster out of it to hang on my wall.

Track day, Tsukuba, Japan: The elusive Rauh Welt S15. The S15 that was once flat black has been an internet favorite for quite some time. It was cool to see that Mike captured the car in its newly painted color during a track day on Tsukuba.

Track day, Tsukuba, Japan: Not much to explain here, I just love this shot made by Mike. I'm sure you guys will agree.

Formula D, Sonoma, USA: The Bergenholtz RX7 shot by Antonio. I love all the details in the shot like the exhaust, transmission and all the other little stuff.

Suzuka 1000kms, Suzuka Circuit, Japan: It doesn't get any better than this; the R35 Super GT race car.

All Star Bash 4, Horse Thief mile, USA: C'mon guys, this picture has everything. Offset, aggressive bodykits and scraping cars. One of my favorite pictures of all time shot by Antonio. This has to be made into a wallpaper, I'll make sure Antonio reads this ;)

Koguchi Power Shop, Utsunomiya, Japan: The king of 180SX is of course Koguchi and this car just shows you what I mean. I haven't seen a better looking 180SX ever since Antonio posted this car.

Track Day, Tsukuba, Japan: Doing a dirt drop in a KPGC10? Oh hell yeah. We are just lucky that Mike captured this beauty.

S13 Silvia, San Fransisco, USA: Somehow this picture reminds me of a James Bond movie but with a Nissan instead of an Aston Martin. Just an awesome shot with an amazing scenery.

Spa Francorchamps Museum, Stavelot, Belgium: It's not the picture but the story behind it that made me choose this picture. My fellow Speedhunters will agree that it was amazing to finally meet the real Mayor of Spa, haha. Big thanks goes out to Patrick who showed us all the cool spots in and around Spa that weekend.

So there you have it my top ten of the photo's that the contributors shot for Speedhunters. I will be making another top ten of the cars that I featured so stay tuned.
