Everyone who is a frequent visitor has seen the new Scirocco pictures on Speedhunters. But like every car that is released nowadays, it has a predecessor. The car wasn't as successful as the Golf Type 1 but it sure had a strong following. Lennart Dijkstra has captured this 80's symbol in this picture.

amazing car, great photo!
from what i can see this particular example is:
a mk2 scirocco (still based on the A1 golf chassis, the original rabbit)
rolling on some variety of BBS RS or RM wheels (likely RS)
custom mirrors
mk3 keather seats? hard to see from here
awesome-looking
did i mention awesome-looking?
i <3 old-school clean euro dubs
I've heard that the Sciroccos are real maintenance pigs
Was that true?
My Dad had a Mk I with a set of recaros, he loved that car but some mad woman smashed into him and wrote it off on a snowy day. This MkII seems to have a nice clean Mk I feel to it. I'm looking forward to road testing the new scirocco when it arrives at the VW dealerships =)

I've seen those mirrors, I'm pretty sure they are called "Bullet-mirrors".. Love you description on the car Keep it up!
